The Dragon Divas held their first golf tournament in 2004. We began this fundraiser to help us with our expenses throughout the year. As a result of our success we have been able to make sizeable donations to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation. The tournament has gathered some very dedicated players that come yearly from Campbell River and Vancouver. Our coveted prize has become our pink prize. This prize is awarded to the team who dresses up and decorates their golf cart in the theme of pink. This always adds fun and creativity to the tournament!

Most important to the Divas is that while we host the tournament we want our golfers to have an enjoyable time so they continue to come to our event. We thank the community for their endless support, and we look forward to seeing everyone again on June 4th, 2011.

The Dragon Divas are a community based dragon boat team that consists of breast cancer survivors from the Cowichan Valley, with ages ranging in age from late 40s to mid 70s.

The proceeds from the calendar sales helped to send the team to Peterborough ON June 11-13 - 2010 where they competed in the International Dragon Boat Festival against breast cancer teams from around the the world.
